Let’s re-wild childhood, create safe neighbourhoods, and build the new village.
OUR GOAL
Rewildhood unites parents to give children what matters most: freedom to play, space to explore, and the courage to try.
The research is clear: kids need movement, independence, and real-world challenge. When kids climb higher, walk farther, and solve problems with friends, they learn something screens can’t teach:
how to face the world with confidence.
Rewildhood brings parents together to act on that knowledge — by pushing digital habits later and real-world experiences earlier. Because when kids learn to navigate the physical world first, they are better prepared to handle the digital one later.

RESOURCES
At Rewildhood, we use these research-backed principles to guide our choices. When families commit together, kids get a consistent message: real play, fresh air, and community come first.
REWILDHOOD BADGES
We use badges and clubs to turn real-world challenge into motivation. Kids build courage by exploring, experimenting, and sticking with what feels difficult. Confidence grows through doing — not scrolling.

COMMUNITY EVENTS
Join us at neighborhood events designed for connection. While kids run, climb, and play freely, parents have space to meet, share, and build the community.
Rotating
Book Club
This isn’t your ordinary book club. Parents bring a book of their own and enjoy some quiet reading time alongside neighbors, while kids play freely together. With rotating locations, each gathering is casual and welcoming.Wander Club
Armed with a Fulton Heights Playground Passport, families set out to explore every playground in the neighborhood. Each week brings a new adventure, and once kids complete their passports, they earn the Wander Club badge.Sunday Free Play
For three hours each Sunday at the library, kids are free to roam, create, and play together without limits. Parents can relax, connect, or read nearby, while children build friendships through unstructured fun. No whispering required.
Seasonal
Back-to-School Picnic
In the second week of school, we kick off the year with a casual BYOP (Bring Your Own Picnic) at the park. It’s an easy way for families to connect, kids to play freely, and everyone to start the year with community. The Longest Table Harvest Dinner
As the leaves change, we gather around one long table for a shared harvest meal. Families bring a dish to share, neighbors sit side by side, and together we celebrate the season of abundance.Halloween Block Party
Costumes, games, and a safe street full of treats — our neighborhood Halloween party is a chance for kids to play and parents to mingle while enjoying the magic of the season together.Christmas Read-a-Long
A cozy winter tradition where families gather. With warm drinks, festive lights, and a circle of neighbors, we slow down and savor the season together.End-of-School Picnic
When summer arrives, we celebrate with another easygoing BYOP in the park. It’s a chance to mark the year’s end, let kids run free, and send families into summer with a sense of togetherness.
